Absolute Must Have
  1. A gross weight of 11,500 lbs or less (our trucks limit)
  2. A center door. Some campsites have a fall off at the rear of the site which makes that first step up too high to be practical
  3. A long sofa
  4. A place to accommodate a computer desk and printer
  5. A Large clothes closet
  6. Lots of windows that open for fresh air
  7. Enclosed underbelly

Asking for these items seems reasonable and many older RVs have these features but almost none of the current crop of new RVs do! There are a lot of glitzy features in new units but the good features of the older RVs have been eliminated to save money.

Not only does our new RV have these features but many more.
Here are the extra features that came with the new RV.

1. All of the above
2. Ceiling fan
3. Heated underbelly for cold weather
4. Wheel bearings that can be greased without removing the wheels
5. Tinted windows
6. 16" wheels instead of 15" wheels
7. Larger brakes
8. Day/night shades
9. Roof ladder
10. Free standing dinette
11. Power vent fan in kitchen
12. Extra capacity air conditioner

These are all in addition to the standard features, which, in my opinion, are already deluxe.

Below is our modified floor plan. The arrows indicate where photos were taken.
