There were many interesting stops we made along our route here in Canada. None of them merited an article of their own but I thought you would enjoy just the photos. I have collected all of these miscellaneous photos into one large album, so, take your time and enjoy the sights we saw.
One of the more interesting stops was Burl Billy Hill. It seems everyone up here has a story to tell and such is the case with "Obie" who owns and operates Burl Billy Hill, the burl bowel shop at mile 1093 along the Alaska Highway in the Yukon.
Burned out from a stressful job as a control room operator for an electrical power utility Obie moved to the Yukon and lived in seclusion for three years before he started making and selling his burl bowls. Of the three burl bowel shops along this stretch of the Alaska Highway Burl Billy Hill is the only one left. Check out his web site
http://www.burlbilly.com. Especially interesting is the story of
his life. Don't miss reading it!
I try to take a photo of every campground we stay at and the photo album (right) will give you an idea of what to expect when RVing in Canada.
