The Southwest - Winter 2007
Gulf Coast Wildlife
Lou says.....

I have been anxious to start using a new 400 mm telephoto lens that I purchased just before this trip but other than a few photos taken at the Desert Museum in Tucson there has been little wildlife to photograph.  We spent about a week on the Gulf Coast in disappointing weather. It was overcast and rainy most of the time with just a few sunny hours on a couple of days.  I did manage to take  a few very good photos when the sun was out some fair shots at the other times.

Most of the photos were taken in the Aransas Wildlife Preserve, some from land, and some from the Skmmer Birding Boat. A few were taken from the shore line in Fulton.

See the photos in the Gulf Coast Album.
